I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand in figuring out how to make this hat appropriate for an 8 year old. I love this pattern and tried to find one just as easy and quick for a child but I couldn't find one. I am terrible at math and such I know I'd just have to decrease the number of stitches but I have no idea how much or when or anything! |

Salutations, I am desperate for hand-knitted socks. Here are a couple of concerns I think you guys will have the answer to... 1) I am a straight needle fanatic. I've never used DPNs and my one attempt at using circular needles ended in bitter disappointment. Can you recommend any super easy patterns for a clumsy beginner such as myself to cut my teeth on? 2) I am vegan, and as such my yarn choices are somewhat limited. I dislike the idea of wearing acrylic on my feet so would be looking for something plant-based. Cotton is the obvious choice but I've heard some excellent things about soy-based yarns. Any tried-and-tested recommendations? Gratitude, |

A couple of MACs near me have a few left. I'm planning on going over there to pick up a couple, so if anyone wants me to CP, LMK :) Also for the Makeup Show coming up in the Spring, is it open only to people in the industry? I wanted to know because I do makeup, but was planning on getting business cards to build up my clientle but wanted to know would I have to be like a "pro"? |

( spoilers for SPN ) Enjoyed Vampire Diaries except for the cliffhanger! The CW is obviously trying to kill us all. Also, Bones and Fringe were very good, too. Then I watched most of the replay of KU and some Arkansas team (Central State or something?). I wasn't really paying attention and we were winning by 40 when I went to bed halfway through the second half. ( vague spoilers for future SPN eps )

I would like to know if I am missing something here. I have come across a glossary describing the symbols used in a chart and it seems to me that this designer is using three different symbols for the same stitch which has me confused as I have never seen this before, nor do I see a reason for it. The stitches I am referring to are Cable 2 right, and Cable 2 left. |
